about

EP originally released in 2001 through the now-defunct mp3-dot-com, then again later through the SC website. I decided to re-release it here on Bandcamp so that there would be a relatively complete discography available again. Includes remixes by The Mercy Cage (the only other one still around), Spazm, and Impakt Devices. Some remastering has been done for this reissue.

This is where I think the SC that we know now took shape. In particular, I think "learning to settle for less" still stands up rather well next to more recent material. It would be a while before another SC release appeared (the first full release after this being the EP "the fine line"). Around this time I was quite busy with my then-partner-in-crime D. Smith on our Skin Receptor project, which later fused with Krushed Opiates (which was previously D. & Al Warr). After that was the move to Colorado, after which I briefly worked on a collaborative project with a local friend that never saw the light of day. It was around the same time that I started releasing side material as FS, and then eventually recorded TFL.
